This kit is similar to the G5 120 mATX kit but instead of using the built in PCI slots of the Mac Pro it uses an all new aluminium mATX shield.
Mac Pro Micro ATX kit
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE 2 BACKPLATE VARIATIONS EITHER (1) THE FAN FITTING SHOWN IN THESE PICTURE OR (2) WITH A STANDARD “UNIVERSAL” TYPE FAN HOLE ARRANGEMENT. IF YOU WISH TO USE A REAR MOUNTED 120MM RADIATOR SOLUTION OR IF YOU WANT TO USE A 120 MM FAN DIRECTLY MOUNTED TO THE REAR THEN CHOOSE THE “UNIVERSAL 120 FAN” OPTION.
The kit includes one of our 5mm clear or black (as an option) acrylic trays which (for ease of fitting for all these Mac Pro variants) uses our “next generation” type fitting scheme – meaning it fastens to the shelf screw mounts and also to the lower case mounts which are common to all the anodised aluminium Mac Pro models prior to the release of the new ‘black bin’ Pros. The process for tray fitting inside the case is as detailed in our TNG tray notes
Regrettably I do not have full fitted kit pictures, but for a customer who can submit good clear pictures for me to use [and that will benefit future customers] I will refund 50% of their kit cost in exchange for use of their pictures on this page!!!
Customers have managed to be able to retain use of the original Mac Pro sleds s shown in the picture below ( however this may be motherboard dependent for the sled nearest to the back panel).

Buying notes
Please note this kit is supplied with either a backplate that has universal 120 fan fitting (and which our pressed mesh grill fits nicely) OR supplied with a backplate that will accept only the original grey plastic grill that was standard on the Mac Pro.
It’s perfect and it just works!
This beautiful metal piece is designed to fit perfectly into your macpro chassis. It looks like an original factory finish.

This kit is AMAZING and it helped me build my dream PC. Besides a mistake I made when cutting the case, it looks perfect! My only suggestion is to make a printable template because it’s hard to cut when the instructions say “make sure to leave 3 holes on this side and 5 on the other side” it’s confusing. Still 5 stars though!!
